As a scientist, I have to say a single subject cannot prove or disprove a hypothesis. To test the hypothesis ‘Elastrated balls feel no pain when beaten mercilessly’ you need more subjects and a control group, particularly if you want to publish in a top journal like ‘The Journal of Utter Bollocks’ (generally considered a better journal than ‘The Completely Bollocks Journal’.
